If you live too far away, I also provide online lessons using Microsoft Teams or Zoom. I can still teach you one to one via the internet and it really does work!

WHAT CAN I TEACH YOU?
As far as styles of music go, I can teach you to play blues, rock, 60's rock 'n' roll, 70's glam rock, funk, 80's pop, heavy metal, 90's pop/rock/indie, advanced rock guitar techniques such as sweep picking, 6 finger tapping, fast alternate picking, hybrid picking, economy picking, pick slanting, slide guitar, acoustic strumming, Intermediate classical guitar/finger picking, intermediate sight reading, advanced bass fingerstyle/plectrum and slap techniques and an advanced level of music theory.

I can prepare students for the Rock School and RGT exams from preliminary up to grade 8.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THE LESSONS:

Amps, leads and guitars are provided during the lesson but if you do want to bring your own guitar (if you are left handed for example or you just feel more comfortable with your own guitar) please use a soft case instead of a hard case if you have one thanks!
If you'd like to learn a particular song, from 60's Rock 'n' Roll to 90's heavy metal, will work the music out for you and teach you how to play it in the lesson.
Also remember to bring your mobile phone to record videos of me playing your song or exercise.

AVAILABLE TIMES: Subject to availability you can book lessons during these times:
MONDAY TO THURSDAY: First lesson starts at 3pm, last lesson finishes at 11pm
FRIDAY: First lesson begins at 3pm, last lesson finishes at 8pm
SATURDAY: Regular lessons not taken but occasional slots can be available.
SUNDAY: First lesson starts at 4pm, last lesson finishes at 11pm

TUITION AGREEMENT:
You will be asked to sign a form which reads:
PAYMENT TERMS
• Payment for the first lesson needs to be sent via PayPal 48 HOURS before your first lesson. If you intend to have more than one lesson, a deposit of just £10 is required at the end of your first lesson. That can be paid in cash or PayPal etc. So you first lesson will be £37, then £27 per lesson onwards. When you want to stop lessons (for whatever reason, I will never ask why, it’s none of my business) your last lesson will be just £17.
• Payment can be made on a weekly or monthly basis with cash, bank transfer or PayPal.
MISSED LESSONS
• Lessons can be cancelled by the student providing 48 hours notice is given without a charge being made.
• If 48 hours notice of cancellation is not received, and the student is unable to attend the lesson for any reason whatsoever, (car failure, illness, bad weather etc etc) a £10 charge for hour lessons and a £5 charge for half hour lessons will be made no matter what the circumstance. I will try and reschedule for another time during that same week without charging the fee but if no spaces are available, the cancellation fee will be due on the next lesson. Thank you.
Lessons will always begin and end at the arranged time regardless of the student's arrival time. If the student arrives late for a lesson the full lesson fee will still be due.
• If the teacher cancels a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient date.

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone who doesn't attend a booked lesson and fails to contact me within 48 hours could loose the lesson slot.

Parents of young children are more than welcome to sit in on the lessons, comfortable chairs are provided for both!
